You don't have to take the challenging ascent to look down from the mountain into the valley.
The hikes on the Untersberg plateau are particularly beautiful.
Refreshments: mountain station, Hochalm mountain restaurant and Zeppezauer-Haus.
Above you experience an indescribably beautiful panoramic view of the Salzburg basin,
of the Berchtegadener Land and with very good visibility you can see
on the one hand the lakes of the Alpine foothills and on the Bavarian side the Königssee.
Mountaineering on the Untersberg
The Untersberg can of course also be climbed on foot via various routes such as the Dopplersteig, Reitsteig or the path over the ice cave.
Condition and experience required.
For less experienced hikers, the hiking trails at the foot of the mountain offer relaxation and recreation.
